Letting Go Without Burning It Down
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Throughout our lives, we take on roles — sometimes intentionally, and sometimes simply because life, family dynamics, or circumstances place them on us.
In this episode of More Than Lucky, I’m exploring what it means to let go of identities and expectations that may have shaped us for years but no longer feel aligned with who we’re becoming. During seasons of personal growth and life transition, these roles can quietly influence the choices we make and the pressure we place on ourselves.
Maybe you’ve been the responsible one.
The one who doesn’t disappoint.
The one who stays quiet, keeps the peace, or carries more than your share.
These identities can shape how we see ourselves — and how we believe we’re expected to show up in the world.
I also reflect on how even positive change can challenge the identity we’ve built around a habit, a role, or a way of being. When we release these identities, it can leave us wondering who we are without them.
Today’s conversation is about learning how to let go without burning everything down — and how to move forward with clarity while honoring the parts of ourselves that got us here.
At the end of the episode, I share this week’s gentle practice: The Soft Unhook — a small reflection to help you notice the roles or expectations you may be ready to loosen your grip on.
Thank you for listening!

About the Host
Stephanie Lear is a thoughtful guide for women who are ready to create meaningful change — without losing their peace.
With a professional background in leadership, program development, and community-building, she has spent years designing spaces that bring people together with intention. But her most meaningful work has been the quiet, personal evolution that happens behind the scenes — the mindset shifts, perspective changes, and spiritual grounding that shape a life from the inside out.
Known among friends and colleagues as the one who gives the pep talk that actually lands, Stephanie has a gift for helping women zoom out, reconnect to what matters, and move forward with calm confidence. She shares what she’s learning in real time — not from a pedestal, but from lived experience.
Through More Than Lucky, she blends practical mindset tools with grounded spiritual insight to support women navigating reinvention, growth, and intentional next chapters.
Her belief is simple: peace and ambition can coexist.
And the life you want isn’t random — it’s created.
